This is the symbol of an Admin Tools Wiki administrator. It combines the site’s W in the logo with a mop. Come by and test often!

Hello Marcus Potter, and welcome to Admin Tools Wiki (ATW)! This wiki is a free environment where anyone can become a Testing Administrator and test the tools without harming real wikis where there are real articles. It is also a place where anyone can practise editing. Here are several helpful pages that will start your experience here at Admin Tools Wiki:

  • Contact us – A centralized directory for who, what, where to contact us.
  • User help – If you need help with something, and do not necessarily require Administrator/Bureaucrat assistance, this is the place to go.
Blue Glass Arrow This is where community members help each other!
  • Administrator requests – Another centralized directory telling you where to go to request various actions that can only be performed by Administrators.
  • Noticeboard – A place to report problems that require Administrator/Bureaucrat attention. This is also where proposals related to the wiki are placed. You are given your chance to voice your opinion and !vote.
  • Bureaucrats – Bureaucrats are the maintainers of the wiki. They are here to help you. If you need help, you can contact any of the Active Bureaucrats for help, as they generally know the most about the wiki. Bureaucrats are the ones who grant Active Administrator, Testing Administrator, bot, rollback, chat moderator, and AbuseFilter Editor privileges.
  • Active Administrators – Active Administrators work alongside the Bureaucrats to keep things running smoothly at ATW. They too are here to help you. If you need help, you can contact any of the Active Administrators. Additionally, Active Administrators are also able to grant rollback and chat moderator privileges: Just ask on one of their talkpages (you may also ask a Bureaucrat).
  • Requests for rights – The only place to become a Testing Administrator! Just follow exactly the instructions at the top of that page and the ATW community will review and comment on your request. Afterwards, a Bureaucrat will review your RfR. Depending on your interaction with the community in the RfR, and if the Bureaucrat thinks you won’t abuse the tools, then they’ll make you a Testing Administrator.
  • Recent changes – A great first stop, because you can see what pages other people have been editing, and where you can help and test.
  • Testing policy – One of our most important ATW policies. It tells you what, and what not, to test on. If you follow it, you will have no problems. But, if you abuse it, a revocation of your rights, and possibly even a block, will occur. So it is very important that you read the policy. This is so that we can keep the wiki running smoothly.
  • Please always sign in every time you edit – This is so that we can recognize you! Also, you’re here to practise with admin tools: You cannot do that unless you log in.

It’s great that you’re here, and do come by often to test whatever you would like! That’s why you’re here, isn’t it? You can improve yourself if you practise, improving yourself will make you an overall better user on any wiki. And again, welcome to the Admin Tools Wiki!
